Updates are frequent and include not just OS-fixes, but all updates for everything you have installed via the repositories and ppas. I consider myself an "experienced" user, but couldn't fix this problem. Andy D. Sadly seeing government computers still using XP! All good trys so far but I haven't changed my CD ROM recently. Note that these symptoms are the same across 10 PCs, so i don't think I missed something (unless i missed it 10 times). weblink
