thank you once again.. !! I tried windows10, but the Bluetooth and scrolling features of the touchpad don't work. Windows's multi-monitor support is fantastic, whereas non-standard display setups (think 4+ screens across 3+ cards) on Linux, while far more flexible, are stupidly complex to set up (seriously, I think I Also, try running Linux on any random machine, sure it'll boot but the hardware may or may not work.
I'd love to have it back! I had no idea it was because of a bad windows update at this point. BUT NO MORE… I have found that if you have Windows 7 64 bit w/ SP1…all you need to do is Download the Following KB's from this site or from Microsoft

Microsoft has been a bit lax lately with QA for patches and you really should be careful with Windows updates if you value your data (you also should have backups).
