I don't care if people say it's a dinosaur. I hate windows 7 and I WANT MY IT DEPARTMENT TO LEAVE IT FOR DEAD. When I found this thread my only conclusion is: go back to XP? This is nearly a 20% decrease in usable space. Source

Windows 7 has removed the work-around, so now I am being forced to go with the new, "improved" way of working. We just finished our second year long pilot with Windows 7 and it was promptly binned as not fit for purpose.
I enjoy going to printers and preferences, same with my scanner…my monitor-everything! Why hasn't someone, somewhere devised an alternative or an open source? Plus, don't forget the slower copying speeds if by some miracle it actually works and decides to finish, but do make sure you have a packed lunch and a sleeping bag. Where can I go for more help?
