Copying files off a disc is basic Explorer stuff, that's why Nero etc don't offer such a feature. Would like to hear from your findings. Except it is. Some assembly required. weblink

Case:2x Noctua, 1x SilverStone 120mm Hard Drives WD SATA 160GB, 500GB, 1TB; Seagate SATA 1TB Internet Speed Verizon DSL 3.0Mb down/768kb up Antivirus Avira Free Browser Firefox 50 (daily driver). Dragging and dropping files from a disc works fine using XP, at least. Eureka! Media files!Videos and music files seem to be the only ones with this kind of problem. Does not matter the size.It gets hung on Time Remaining: Calculating.... Items Remaining: Calculating... Speed... At best you're getting something like 5 or so megabits per second average and depending on the quality of the media, burn, and reader it can be much less.
Which is some evidence for the disk drive model may be flawed. Someone mentioned pluggins for windows explorer, does anybody know where I can find which ones are instaled in my explorer and how I turn them off? Lost password/username? Copying the same DVD in the same drive using ImagBurn to save it as an ISO took basically the same amount of time, give or take five seconds.
