It seems to me that it is related to a memory issue (or HDD?), but I have not been able to narrow it down at all. And if you can check Event Viewer for all error logs pertaining to the Windows Update service and post those here, that would be helpful as well. But inside BIOS I switched memory profile to XMP from Auto. My video card is not overheating, CCC temperatures are around 35c, and external probe shows 32c (when playing games, it's adequatly 53c and 49c). I've uninstalled CCC, cleaned registry with driversweeper and reinstalled CCC, and since then i did not encounter this problem anymore. Searching for a solution, i've found an info, that my video card driver may cause a problem. I ran CHDSK after the crashes and it never seemed to do any good. I was installing RAMdisk as part of a complete system re-install, so it's a fresh OS installation, with limited other software present at this moment.
