also run hdtune and check the hard drive health. This was driving me mad. All I did was open the DVD drive , presto light went out and I went right back to normal operation. my processor is good, i tested it on the computer i am using right now.
When I disconnected it, the HD drive light went off. Likely a BIOS issue, plus system seems to be dropping a hard drive? My boot drive is a SSD and I was worried about that... Thank you so much for posting this.
