did you have wireless network adapter connect to your machine? The solution posted by John vankirk doesn't work for me. As a result, the integrated graphics of the cpu is able to handle the extremely hot (therefore not highly usable) load of the gpu. And changing the settings it crashed which I knew would happen so I went to restore settings to defult.
