but then i remembered that the hdd im using have already windows on so maybe that is the issue , i booted from a disc into mini xp and formatted the I haven't updated the BIOS yet, never done a BIOS update before and there aren't any good instructions for my motherboard out there. Hell, XP has more users than windows 8 and its not even supported by microsoft! The downgrade wasn't from windows it self but from my own windows cd. I did some read/write speedtests in both modes, with and without emulation on, but I didn't see any significant difference in read or write speeds. getting desperate since this is the 3rd day that it's still in BSOD mode..
