Well for whatever reason I tried to install this 1 stick yesterday (hoping it wasn't going to fail) but it crashed. (Note it crashed in Windows which CLEARLY indicates that something We can try installing the previous driver for the video card and test with that. This will make sure any corruption in the old driver is removed before we install the new one. It is the same price as the standard version and OC from the factory. see this here

It doesnt happen too often, maybe once or twice a week or so.. For the most part, it is reliable but recently I purchased Star Craft II and getting the blue screen of death or video crashes during play. Upgrading your GPU would provide a nice boost in performance as well.As for memtest, it should clearly indicate if/when it finds problems. Thank you for all your help!

And installed the newest driver for the video card (ATI Radeon HD 4290) from them and you are still getting the directX BSOD's you may have a card problem, heat, power, System: Windows 7 build 7100 with all updates from microsoft. Crashes can happen from 5 to 50+ minutes after start up.
To be more specific, the crash occurs when I play StarCraft II for some period of time, which can range from 5 minutes to about 2 hours. I want something more powerful than 8800GT but definitely do not want to go over $200. Think I'm making the right choice? I can play starcraft 2 for like 30 seconds or so but then I get that message.
